It's the final leveeeeel ninonino ♪♪♪
We've reached the last level. Last but not least important, of course. This level 9 is about phonemic manipulation. Once the children know how to blend phonemes to make words, they have to know how to say words modifying their phonemes, for example removing one phoneme of the word.
For this reason, the game I show you this time is called: Pick it out!
This game is really easy. We have to show the students pictures of different words. We elicit from them the words and then we tell them to pick out a different phoneme each time.
For example with the word "map". We tell the children to say the word without the first phoneme, so they will have to say "ap". Then, without the last phoneme, "ma". Finally the phoneme in the middle, "m_p".
We repeat this process with all the words we want. The children will find this as a funny game and they will be practicing the awareness of the phonemes.
Hope you liked it! 馃槈

LEVEL 7 & 8: BLENDING PHONEMES TO MAKE WORDS
Hi there!! Look what I have for you today... A game to practice blending phonemes to make words!!
It is important that children know how to form words by pronouncing each phoneme in the correct way, because it will give them the confidence they need to produce the English language.
The game I show you this time is called: If you have a new word sound it out!
This game includes singing a song with the tune of the song "If you're happy and you know it". The song is:
For example, with the word "pig". The whole process would be singing the song and then:
ppppp iiiiii ggggg - pig
This game is really funny and the children will be engaged and will learn a lot if we do it in a good way.

LEVEL 6: RECOGNITION AND PRODUCTION OF FINAL PHONEMES
Sssshoe - asssssk - busssss
In this lesson, we are going to see a game with which we can teach the children how to recognize and produce final phonemes. As we have already seen initial sounds, in this game we are practicing initial, middle and final phonemes.
This time we are working with /s/ sound. We have to show the students some pictures and they will have to decide if the sound /s/ is in at the beginning, in the middle or at the end of the word.
I decided to record myself saying the words so the children have some help when they aren't sure of the words.

LEVEL 5: RECOGNITION AND PRODUCTION OF INITIAL SOUNDS
I, i, i, i, initial sounds!!
For the recognition and production of initial sounds I propose to you a really funny and misterious game that the children will love and will enjoy with it a lot!
The first thing we do is present to the children the "mystery box" and ask them what do they think there is inside the box.
Then, we show them one letter that was supposed to be inside the box. We elicit from them words that start with that letter or sound until they guess the word we were thinking of.
We can do this process several times, each time with a different letter or sound.
Also this game has a wide range of possibilities as we can do it whole group, in small groups or in pairs.

LEVEL 4: RECOGNITION AND PRODUCTION OF SYLLABLES
Hi thereee!! Today's lesson is about... syllables!!
To help the children be aware of the recognition and production of syllables, I bring you a funny game with a bee.
In this game, we have to sing "bibbity bibbity bumnle bee" and then add the sentences I post here.
First, we ask a child his or her name. We write it on the board of if we want, we can let the child write it himself.
The second action is clapping the syllables of the name. The child should do it and we can help him.
We can do this game as many times as we want and with a different student each time.

LEVEL 3: RECOGNITION AND PRODUCTION OF RHYME
RHYME TIMEEEE!!
Everyone likes rhyming and of course children love rhyming. With the game I show you here we can practice rhyming with the students at the same time we teach them the parts of the body.
What do we do in this game? We show the children different pictures of parts of the body and next to them a picture of a word that rhymes with that part of the body.
We elicit the names of each picture from the children and they will see that the words rhyme.
It's a fantastic game for teaching the students how to recognize and produce rhymes at the same time they learn or review the parts of the body!

LEVEL 2: WORD AWARENESS
Hello again!! We're in level 2 and it is about "Word awareness".
The children are supposed to know what a word is and with the activity I am going to present to you, they will learn about "compound words"
First we present the activity as a game, so it will be more flashy for the children.
Then, we show the students two words and we elicit from them what they are. Finally, we tell them that if we join the two words, we form another word. This words that are formed by two other words are called "compound words".
